MS Dhoni steers Chennai Super Kings to three-wicket win over Mumbai Indians in IPL 2022.

The Mumbai Indians (MI) were looking to register their first win of the season against the Chennai Super Kings (CSK) but MS Dhoni had other plans. The CSK skipper scored the last 16 runs needed off 4 balls to ensure MI’s winless streak continues as CSK registered a thrilling three-wicket victory.
Chasing 156 to win, Daniel Sams struck big blows but Robin Uthappa and Ambati Rayudu batted sensibly to take the game deep where Dhoni picked up and provided the momentum.
Batting first, Tilak Varma hit a stupendous half-century to power MI’s score past the 150-run mark. Despite losing early wickets, MI posted 155/7 in 20 overs at the Dr DY Patil Sports Academy in Mumbai and will look to defend the score.
However, Dhoni had other plans as he struck big blows when CSK required 42 runs off the last three overs. Unadkat was the unlucky bowler to concede the 16 off the last over as MI succumbed to their seventh loss of the season.
With this win, CSK have now jumped to the second spot in the points table while MI remain at the bottom.
