Day 2: Second Novena Mass and Handumanan

The Handuman is an annual activity to showcase the memorabilia of the students and the school with a particular theme every year. Part of the exhibit is the old pictures of the jubilarians and their respective mentors and administrators, old uniforms, reading materials and a lot more that would gave a glimpse of the past 25 or 50 years. In every Handuman, a carefully selected guest speaker is invited to share and reminisce the most memorable experience while in Saint Columban.

The said activity marks the comeback of Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, one of the silver college jubilarians who graduated Bachelor of Arts major in Political Science and minor in English as the Batch Cum Laude. Fueled by her passion to serve the poorest of the poor in the court, she pursued her Bachelor of Laws in the University of San Carlos, Cebu City.

She Successfully hurdled the Bar Examination in 1997 and started her mission as the defender of justice two years later as the public servant of the District Public Attorney-PAO, Aurora in 2001-20014. She became the President of the Lawyers Guild, president of the Integrated Bar of the Philippines, presiding judge, RTC-Branch 30, Aurora and the first ever lady RTC Judge in the Province of Zamboanga del Sur.

Judge Analyn F. Ramas-Costanilla, like any other alumni who had been successful in their own field, is truly the pride of SCC. Handuman activity indeed gives way of the Alumni to come back to their Alma Mater and pay homage to SCC not by doing anything world shaking, but by simply living out the virtues of Saint Columban manifested in the way they serve the lost, the least, and the last in the community.
