As early as 6 in the morning, the SCC family started the day with a clean up day in the entire campus as its own contribution in promoting one of the core values 'Takes Care of Mother Earth.' Students, staff, teachers and the administrations and the like were one in this purpose.

Later in the morning, the talk on KINAIYAHAN or MOTHER EARTH delivered by Atty. Valenzuela, president of Ford Foundation was attended by the SCC Family. The talk centered on the theme of the day "To Belong to Christ is to Care for the Common Home. The input was indeed another some eye opener on how to take care mother earth in every little action and decision one will take every day to preserve this common home for the next generation.

In the evening, the exhilarating performances shook the gym as the alumni teachers from DepEd Division started to showcase their talents in the show. This was started with the parade of beauties with their respective escorts representing the four escorts for the glass dance. The show themed as 'Retrovolts' was a show for a cause to raise some funds for DepEd Division Alumni's counterpart in the huge project of the Amulni which is the Construction of the Saint Columban Alumni Association Covert Court.

This idea was crafted by the president of the City DepEd Teachers who is the principal 3 of Zamboanga del Sur National High School, Mr. Roberto Bibanco with the teachers. The entire event was of course spearheaded by the father of the City DepEd Division, Dr. Marcom Borongan. The group was able to raise almost 50,000.00 pesos which was turn over to the Alumni during the Grand Alumni Home Coming Activity.
